Donostia / San Sebastian is the city in the world with the highest number of Michelin stars per square metre. It is an art and a hallmark of our city. Our chefs take care and pamper the recipes and the products to make gastronomy an art.

Arzak Restaurant ***

Restaurante Akelarre ***

Pedro Subijana, one of our most prestigious chefs, and one of the pioneers of Basque Haute Cuisine, has been developing his personal dishes with a marked traditional character since 1970, which have taken his restaurant to the top of today’s cuisine.

Martín Berasategui Restaurant ***

Martín Berasategui prepares great signature cuisine, based on his gastronomic roots, drawing from the past and looking to the future. Mugaritz Restaurant ***

Andoni Luis Aduriz and his team continue to produce around one hundred culinary creations every year, all of them at the service of completing a sensory experience to feed curiosity, the senses or desire, using storytelling, gestures and emotions. This magic comes from the kitchen, trough the dining room, to end up on the dish.

Kokotxa Restaurant **

Dani López continues to delight with his cuisine open to the world, especially to distant Japan, but without forgetting Basque tastes, products and roots, with a great personality and category.

Amelia by Paulo Airaudo **

Argentinean, Italian and French influences are intertwined in the cuisine of a restaurant that draws from the larder of Gipuzkoa and offers great technique in the preparation of a unique, exclusive and changing menu. The Argentinean chef Paulo Airaudo, an example of decisiveness and clarity of ideas, is the captain of the restaurant ‘Amelia’, located in front of the bay of La Concha.
