The renovation of the former 16th century convent and its extension in 2011 gave rise to the Museum of Basque Society, San Telmo Museum, which offers a fresh look at Basque society. The museum, located in the old part of San Sebastian, has permanent and temporary exhibitions and a multitude of outreach activities.
